Various tasks and things are predictably required for nearly all events, and preparation in advance can be coordinated better. This page is dedicated to listing and coordinating these tasks.

Note: When task is complete, please move it to Done and put a strikethrough through it

Friday 7 August Rally

• Invite Speakers

  • Dr. M. Kassem - Contacted - Mohammed (Mohammed has asked me to let everyone know that Dr M. Kassem will not be able to speak because he won't be able to attend for medical reasons)

  • Write up introduction to ceremony

• Contact William's Cafe for power hook up - "That's OK with us" (Marie, a manager). NOTE: we will also need a fairly long extension cord, and some duct tape. David

Suggested Longterm goals

• List of people and vehicles that can be called upon to move Nic's sound system, assuming he continues to make it available to P4P (seems likely).
• Quick access to some kind of awnings to keep the weather off the sound systems / mics
• A P4P contact list that can be deployed during events. This could include:
  • Active P4P members
  • Community members with special skills (sound equipment, awnings, etc)
  • Media contacts
  • Police / Legal contacts
• SIGNS: Likely at Adil's place
  • Find the signs - Adil's home and ??Tony Weiss's home
  • Move the signs to Oliver's → Oliver and Adil contacted; meeting setup.
  • Make Oliver's contact info available widely
• A permanent, generic P4P banner.
• Speakers bureau - We should find willing speakers on various topics so we can easily present these to the media during such events. Perhaps chosen speakers can be tagged with armband as below?
• Make P4P armbands to identify P4Pers in various ways - such as helpers or Speakers Bureau speakers.
• Contact list of friendly groups; Youth group contacts?
• Create Distinctive signs:
  • Make layouts available to others
  • Make interesting generic / specific quotations available to others when making their signs, as on the Wiki
  • Actually make some distinctive signs
• Make more professional P4P webpage?
  • Perhaps register www.peopleforpeace.ca, and redirect it to our wiki page?
• P4P Social - potluck, see People for Peace/Calendar
• Art event - Perhaps coordinate with Jamelie?
