The meeting last night went great. Here's a quick summary of what we talked about:
At this point the most important thing is getting people involved in this project.
Talking with London community groups would be a good way of finding people to help out, and making these connections is also important because the Indymedia network expects us to get support from groups and/or organizations. The best way to go about this is to let them know that it's in their best interest. For instance, the site could cover the events of local progressive groups.
There's also an expectation, from Indymedia, that we try to get a diverse group of people involved -- definitely racial & ethnic minorities and socioeconomically disadvantaged people. And we'll also need people with technical skills. It's not like we don't have anyone who's computer savvy, but we could definitely use more technical people.
Hopefully we can get another meeting together soon because the timing didn't work for a lot of people on the list.
