2007 RSF Food Committee/Maay 31 Meeting minutes

- Co-op order made, delivery expected Friday June 15.
- May need volunteer drivers for pickup on June 15->try for volunteers at next general meeting.
- Dairy delivery needs to to be pushed back to Wed. June 20.
- Canned tomatoes/tomato paste, Soy cheese missed on order, need to contact Loretta regarding this and dairy.
- Storage/cold storage needed for June 15/20. Comlicated by Sisters of St. Joes moving. Sheila will make calls to Sisters, Seminary, Kings, Huron contacts...
- Fennel bulbs (30) ordered from Havaris at Market, delivery on Wed June 20 ($60-$70).
- 1.5 lbs. of coffee acquired from Has Beans ($10, paid), need 3.5 lbs more?
- NGO group will be serving coffee most of day, need to find out if they will cover lunch/dinner as well.
- Lasagne and Red beans & rice switched for Tuesday lunch and dinner, due to increased #s expected from critical mass, time needed to prep beans & rice.
- Need to finalise produce order from Dan.
- Outstanding ingredients include: Worcestershire (2 280ml bottles, "equality" brand is vegan), white wine vinegar (1 375 ml bottle), corn starch, "Indonesian" sweet soy sauce (3 240 ml bottles), whitener (4 2kg tins ). these will likely come from grocrery store.
- Dessert squares, cookie, etc.-> what's the plan?
- (pot-luck desserts?->solicit volunteers at next general meeting)
- Sheila will prep granola ahead of time, possibly Lasagne (-or- Lasagne may be prepped by volunteer group -or- prepped on site.)
- I will prep Konafa off site on Wednesday night.
- Sweet potato soup hopefully prepped by volunteer group. if not, on site.
- We really need chef's knives, food processors, blenders, tubs for dishwashing.
- Next meeting Monday June 11, 2 p.m, central library.
